DWP Global Summit Shenzhen
Building the Digital Backbone of a Sustainable Future
Where global collaboration meets real-world implementation
DWP Global Summit Shenzhen
The world stands at a defining convergence of climate urgency and exponential digital
acceleration—an inflection point that demands cross-regional dialogues and action-
oriented global cooperation to reimagine sustainable development pathways. The Digital
with Purpose (DWP) Global Summit 2026 in Shenzhen, China brings together (unites)
global leaders from business, finance, government, and academia to steer digital innovation
and artificial intelligence toward measurable, scalable positive outcomes for enterprise
competitiveness, inclusive societal progress, and the resilience of global systems.
Led by the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI), the DWP Movement builds a
collaborative ecosystem where industry drives market-ready innovation, governments set
forward-thinking governance and policy direction, finance fuels equitable and sustainable
growth, and academia provides evidence-based research and expert insight—with curated
high-impact panelists selected to amplify the relevance and reach of every discussion.
Rooted in GeSI’s landmark report Digital with Purpose: Delivering a SMARTer2030, the
Movement advances a shift from technology adoption for its own sake to intentional,
outcome-driven digital transformation—one that embeds supply chain resilience and risk
management as a foundational pillar of all sustainable digital strategy.

Plenary Session: AI-enabled transformation with human-centric approach
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping industries, institutions, and societies. While the focus has largely been on performance, efficiency, and scale, there is increasing recognition that AI-driven transformation must remain anchored in human outcomes—trust, inclusion, wellbeing, and long-term resilience.
As organizations accelerate AI adoption, a critical question emerges: how can we ensure that transformation is not only technologically advanced, but also human-centered, responsible, and aligned with societal needs?
This discussion aims to explore how organizations can deploy AI at scale while maintaining a strong human-centric approach, ensuring that innovation translates into meaningful value for people, businesses, and society.

Digital Transformation as a Driver of Sustainable Growth: Cooperation between China and European Union (Plenary)
At a moment when artificial intelligence, data systems, digital infrastructure and platform technologies are reshaping economies and societies, the central challenge is no longer simply how to accelerate digital transformation, but how to ensure that it produces sustainable, inclusive and resilient outcomes.
The Global AI Impact Network (GAIN), a joint initiative of Re-Imagine Europa and GeSI, has been created to address this challenge. GAIN aims to build a community of experts and stakeholders able to support decision-makers, identify practical pathways for AI and digital transformation, and contribute to a more strategic public conversation on the future of growth, sustainability and governance in the digital age.
This session will introduce the GAIN project and use it as a platform for a focused China–EU exchange. It will explore how digital transformation can become a driver of a new growth model, connecting innovation, competitiveness, sustainability, social value and international cooperation. The discussion will start from the European policy context, including the EU’s evolving digital strategy, and will open a structured conversation with Chinese partners on how similar questions are being addressed in China’s own innovation and development ecosystem.
Rather than treating digitalisation, sustainability and economic growth as separate agendas, the session will ask how they can be designed as mutually reinforcing dimensions of the same transformation.
